Day 2

All day in London, a walking we will go!

overcast 20 °C

Contiki prepares what are called "day sheets" and Becc would be very creative in preparing hers. These sheets were very informative visuals for the travellers, so they would know what was planned. london_day_sheet.jpgToday was a free day, so the three of us started right after a full English breakfast for walking tour day seeing all the important sights, like Harrods and Selfridges. We walked over 10 Kms because the central tube stations were closed for maintenance. (Refer to the attached map) We walked over the Millennium bridge, stopped by the Tate Museum, the Tower of London and the delightful Hyde park. Ate some chips, drank a pint and just enjoyed this ancient city. We head back home for our evening in the theatre district, Covent Garden. We dine at Jamie Oliver's Union Jack Grill and like all other wonderful things in this fine burgh, it's expensive! And not even a surprise visit from Jamie either. We round out the evening watching the play Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Very fun to watch live theatre, let alone this particular production.D28BC1CC2219AC681704297B20E6F165.jpgimage.jpg
