Day 11

sunny 25 °C

We leave Lyon for our last destination, Paris. This will be one of the longer coach days, well long by European standards. When we arrive into Paris around 5:30ish we take a tour of the city first via the bus. I thought the drivers in Lima Peru were poor, I had totally forgotten about the process at the Arc de Triomph round about. arc_de_triomphe_traffic.jpgGoodness gracious, no wonder insurance companies won't cover you for driving around the Arc. 7A48C14F2219AC6817BF140986AA6308.jpgceremonies.._de_triomph.jpgBateaux_Mouches.jpgParis is beautiful none the less and as soon as we finish our tour, we head to our hotel which is located in the Saint Ouen area. Dinner is fast because we are then brought back out for our evening visit to the Eiffel Tour. eiffel_tower.jpgSince we are in a group, we did not have the option to walk up the stairs, so sad. Ha. The place is packed and the 3 of us got a little woozy looking down, so we passed on going up to the top. The views taken in from here are so wonderful. Paris is primarily created out of white stone, so it is very surreal to look at it all at dusk. At 1000, the tower lights up and twinkles frantically. C'est si bon!
